It's the time of year where legends, not to mention your playoff fantasy hopes, are made.

One brilliant spring can be the exclamation point on a sensational Hall of Fame run when discussing the likes of Roy, Yzerman, Lidstrom, Stevens, Sakic, Gretzky, Orr, Lafleur or Mario.

For others such as Ranford, Ward, Vernon, Hextall, Goring and Claude Lemieux, it was an unforgettable spring that helped define a career.

It's the calling card for those who show up when it matters most.

So, with playoff fantasy pools winding down, let's take a look at those players who may have one hand on the Conn Smythe Trophy and, with a little luck, allow you to capture bragging rights in your fantasy draft:

Why can't Johan still be the Conn Smythe winner? Without him, would they have gotten past the first two rounds? Maybe, but they sure wouldn't have dominated them! And I realize Osgood has a great record, but has he really been THAT great?? He does kinda does his job, stops the 15 or so shots he gets every game and goes on his way. I'd be much more willing to give it to Zetterberg or Lidstrom for playing great defensively in front of Osgood!
