I've never played fantasy hockey, this is my first time. I did ok with my first round picks but how do you go about picking round 2?
Do you go by player stats for round 1? Do you go by their regular season stats? Do you just randomly pick people? Maybe you pick your favorite players? Do you read a lot of blogs and news reports to figure it out?
Can anyone offer some advice? Or maybe just explain how you go about making your second round picks? ~HockeyGal

It depends on the format of your pool......I'm guessing you are talking about the pool on this site......it allows you to re-pick after round two.....so you should be trying to predict which players will play the most games......which series will go 6 or 7 games and which series will be high scoring.
In my opinion the NYR and Pit will be low-scoring.......and the NYR will win it.......Det/Col should be tight too...........the MTL/Philly series may be a little more wide open with lost of goals......same with Sharks and Stars.

...so take Briere, Richards......Thornton.....Marleau.....Cheechoo.......Campbell......players like that......plus everyone is going to take Crosby and Malkin......if you want to win.....you have to take chances.......take NYR/SJ goalies.
Good luck!
