Some interesting storylines are transpiring even before the first puck is dropped on the Eastern Conference side of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

As I said yesterday Ottawa is dead in the water. They have no chance with two sieves for goalies. They may as well start polishing the golf clubs now...they may get one win, but that is it.

Pittsburgh in 5
Montreal in 4
Jersey in 7
Capitals in 6

No love for the Bruins here either. Boston is going to upset the Habs. You read it here first.

Oh, and since you asked:

Boston in 6, Jersey in 6, Washington in 7, Pittsburgh in 4

Washington is about to get a very rude wake up call from Philly. Shut down Ovechkin, win series. Simple.

Philly in six.

Flyers are going to beat the capitals, Huet might be hot right now, but Biron is even hotter, coming off of 2 shutouts in a row, and besides Ovechkin, Fedorov(who is old), and Nylander Washington's got nobody.

Flyers in 6
