It may not be the Hatfields and McCoys - at least not yet - but let's just say there is no love lost in this edgy little playoff tussle between the Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers. And if you were looking for someone to throw down the gauntlet to turn up the heat a few more degrees, consider it done. As if the Flyers needed anything else to pin to their bulletin board, Guy Carbonneau went public condoning the sucker punch/facewash/cheap shot - call it what you will-that Tom Kostopoulos administered on Kimmo Timonen moments after the Flyers guaranteed they would be... Let the Flyers bring their cheap shot hockey with them to impress the home fans. I am sure the best power play in the league would have no issues with it.
Philly has this habit of using their sticks and lips all game long which is typical Flyer hockey. Timonen and his teammates want to yap all game then be ready to take a shot or two.
The Habs have been brutal this seris and are still tied which is bad news for Philly. There is no question who the better team is, and that is something that will be obvious in the next couple of days.

We'll see when you are eating crow with the rest of your whining team in a week or so. Kovalev and Koivu are public enemy #1 in Philly which is not good news for Montreal. Oh well they can always start a riot.

Dude get a grip I know it's cold up there ah but "Cheap Shot Hockey" he hit him when he wasn't looking after the game was OVER. That my friend is a cheap shot and cowardly. How do you feel about the best power play in the league NOW. Looks like the FLYERS (#2 power play in the league) is making a mockery of your guys on the PP and on the PK.(by the way we lead the league in short handed goal too) They can take those week, low percentage shots at Marty all night long in the end they can't get it done bottom line. NO HEART NO CUP LETS GO FLYERS
