In between writing children's books and, oh yeah, trying to win a Stanley Cup, Marty Turco somehow found some time to fit a little car restoration into his schedule. And now, the end result may dry a few tears on the face of a two-year-old girl. With Turco acting as ringleader, the Stars took the had-seen-better-days ride that was defenseman Matt Niskanen's 2001 Pontiac Sunfire — wheels he has owned since he was 15 — and helped give it a $12,000 facelift. Great article, it's always good to hear about this kind of stuff.
Since we're on the topic of Turco... does anyone know if he's still wearing his daughter's ties to the games like he did in last year's playoffs??

That is great, excellent insight into a story like that. No wonder the Stars are doing so well with that type of team bonding off the ice.
Sad story about the employee and his young daughter but great to see has hasn't been forgotten within the organization. Kudos to the Stars!

LOL, what is an NHL player driving a piece of junk like that for anyway?
That's great that Dallas isn't forgetting the little people in the organization and that the family will be taken care of. I also read the Brett Hull made a big donation to the family fund. Classy move by him and everyone else involved.
