They know what you did last summer, Roberto Luongo.

And a few of them aren't happy about it.

Note, I stress a few. They'll get over. Buffoons always do.

Most Vancouver Canucks fans - at least the rational ones - can understand Luongo flying home to Florida to be with his wife for the birth of their first child. Lucky kid, I might add, being born into those bloodlines. Cat-like reflexes and Rico Suave hair. That young ‘un is going to be a heartbreaker.

Should his mates mail in a couple more clunkers like they have this week, Luongo should have plenty of time to bounce that newborn on his knee because he sure as heck won't need to make any post-season travel...

As a Canuck fan, I am embarrassed at how a few fans and even are reacting. This column puts it in perspective. If we are relying solely on Louie to get us there, we won't be around in the playoffs long anyway.

There is more to life than hockey. Good for Louis keeping his priorities straight.

I agree. No job is more important than your personal life. Especially a major event such as your first kid being born.

The Canucks have been horrible all week and look nothing like a team that even deserves a playoff spot. The have let Luongo carry them all year so maybe it is time someone stepped up. It sounds like he will be back tonight anyway so not sure what the big deal is/
