When it comes to the Roy family, apparently the apple doesn't fall all that far from the tree. A piece of friendly advice to the Roy clan? Time to put in a call to the doc and seek a little anger management, provided the caller can stay on the phone long enough prior to dropping an f-bomb and hanging up. Jonathan Roy, the offspring of mercurial Hall of Fame goaltender Patrick Roy, lost his mind over the weekend, upset with the shellacking his Quebec Remparts were taking in Game 2 of their playoff series, decided to take out his anger on Chicoutimi Sagueneens goaltender Bobby Nadeau. With any luck, the QMJHL will ignore that name on the back of his jersey and throw Roy out for the remainder of the season to teach him a little... Too bad the Roys can't just play hockey. It's something they're pretty good at, unlike all this other drama they are always caught up in.
But I think missing the rest of the playoffs is a little harsh.

Dad gets five, son seven. Looks like their seasons might be over anyway, if they lose this round.

Good. Hopefully Quebec gets knocked out in the opening round so these two morons can think about it all summer. Looks good on them

I never cared much for Roy. Hell of agoaltender, but when he pulled that stunt on the Habs bench after being pulled, telling off the Habs president right from the bench, and demanding a trade, I decided exactly what type of person he must be.

Agreed, that was classless, lost everyting I ever had for him right there, and it wasn't much to start with. Then snubbing Team Canada in the olympics, the guy and his boy are a 1st class chumps...

They should both be *out* of hockey. Time for the leagues to stop pussy-footing around with this kind of thug. I suspect the suspensions are lenient *because* they carry the name Roy.

I'm thrilled for the sport of hockey to see some of these ex-NHLers get involved with CHL ownership, management, or coaching. It's most often a good thing for the league with added exposure and credibility, except when it comes to incidents like this involving Roy.
The other one that comes to mind that turned out ugly is some of the things that happened with the London Knights a few years back, with the Hunters. That turned ugly as well.
