We may not know a lot about Victoria Salmon Kings' thug Robin Gomez, but two things are pretty certain.

First, he isn't all that bright.

Second, he should be kicked out of the ECHL for life.

And that is where the line should be drawn in the sand.

A recent report suggests charges could be laid against Gomez for his vicious sucker punch on Las Vegas Wranglers' star Chris Ferraro during an ECHL game in Victoria on March 1st.

Of course, a case could be made that the cowardly act is certainly vile enough for a ride downtown in the back seat of a squad car wearing silver bracelets, but the question is where do you draw the line when it comes to sports?

This is a big topic out here, but I think it warrants a charge. That was a completely unprovoked punch. Yes, it is part of the game but if you or I did it, we'd be in jail for a night or two.

BS hockey and glad the law is getting involved. There is a fine line, though, I agree.

Cops and lawyers have no place in hockey. What a joke.

Deal with in internally or find someone who can to run the league.

Well to tell you the truth, you must not know Robin one little bit. He is a very smart and very nice man. He is 10 times better than what you think you are. You just write crap you know nothing about. He deserves an apology from you. It was a figt, the other guy was throwing punches just the same. GO to a hockey game, there is usually fights. Grow up, and maybe you are the one who isnt bright.

If he walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, then he must be a duck.

I don't want to waste much time on a guy like this, but a quick look at his stats shows 2 whole points in 38 games, as well as 142 PIMS. Looks like nothing more than a goon to me, nice guy or not.
