As if you needed further proof that goalies, as a whole, are just a weird lot.

A popular video making the rounds on the Internet ascertains these guys march to their own drummer and most times they aren't hearing the beat, if you catch my drift.

The recent one-of-a-kind blind-man celebration from Kladno goalie Miroslav Kopriva after stopping Petr Ton in a shootout during a game in the Czech Republic is ample proof, yet again, that goalies just aren't all there.

Hey, I should know. I've spent most of my life taking a fair share of rubber missiles off my head, chest and various parts of my anatomy, all in the name of preventing that bloody red light from going on behind me.

Now, come on, tell me you didn't get a chuckle watching Kopriva's brief routine. If not, you may want to invest in a sense of humor.

THanks for making me laugh. That was hilarious! I read a book about the eccentrics of the golden era's goalies, lead by Terry Sawchuk. The Gumper was strange for not wearing a mask. Quote: "my mask is my face." A memorable story was that of Jacques Plante. So in the 1950's, Toe Blake had some trouble with getting Plante to stay at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto because Plante claimed the air quality was bad. So Toe Blake gave in and let Plante stay somewhere else on the Toronto road trips. Plante wakes up gasping and toe blake asks why, and Plante says he was dreaming he was at the Royal York. Hahaha. I'm a goalie and I totally aply to all these goalie oddities. I get excited and rub it in a players face when I rob him, and if he says something, back, I'll challenge him. Even if I think I'll lose the fight. Thats something I have improved on. verbally beating him up. None the less, goalies are strange and exciting people. *p.s. and hey, if a red light went on over your desk everyday when you made a mistake at your job, wouldn't you become a little mental? *Jacques Plante quote
