LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - The Lethbridge Hurricanes are on the brink of elimination.

Tyler Johnson scored off a wild scramble 6:20 into overtime to give the Spokane Chiefs a 2-1 victory over the Hurricanes in Game 3 of the WHL championship series on Tuesday. Johnson's goal capped a late rally by the Chiefs, who now lead the series 3-0 and are just one win from advancing to the Memorial Cup. A Chris Bruton goal with just 2:04 to play in the third period knotted the score at 1-1, while Dustin Tokarski made 22 saves to get the win in net.

Lethbridge's Dwight King scored with just three seconds to play in the second period to give the Hurricanes their first lead of the series but it wouldn't stand up. Juha Metsola made 24 saves in net.

The Hurricanes host Game 4 on Wednesday.
